Eligibility Requirements

CSDR serves deaf and hard of hearing students who can benefit from our specialized programs

Basic Eligibility Criteria

  • Student must have a hearing loss that impacts educational performance

  • Ages birth through 21 years old

  • California resident (or meet out-of-state criteria)

  • IEP or 504 plan documenting hearing loss and educational needs

  • Assessment by CSDR team to determine appropriate placement
